Bethan's journey with yoga began during her university years, when she attended her first class at 18. It was a simple start that evolved into a heartfelt passion, leading her to practice consistently for over a decade. Her commitment took her across the globe, from tranquil retreats in Morocco to the serene landscapes of Sri Lanka and Costa Rica. In 2018, Bethan took a significant step, earning her 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Yoga Haven London, followed by experience teaching at Hot Pod Yoga. The birth of her child introduced her to the joys of pregnancy and mum and baby yoga, deepening her bond with this ancient practice. Bethan considers herself a lifelong student of yoga as well as a teacher, and has continued developing her practice with a further 200-hour course with Kerry Curson, 50 hours of Yin Yoga training and mentorship under Irena from Salt Loft Yoga.
For Bethan, yoga is more than just a series of poses; it's a journey of connection and community. Inspired to offer more than just sporadic classes, she transformed a part of her family home into a sanctuary. Her vision was clear: to create a welcoming space where everyone, regardless of their yoga journey stage, feels included. A place that fosters community and provides a structured path for those seeking to deepen their practice and find their inner peace.
PHILOSOPHY
No. 87 Main Street
No. 87 is a Georgian cornerstone in the heart of Pembroke, and part of the town’s social history. It has been our family home since 1967, when three generations of our family moved in together. The front room was a bustling business, occupied by Granddad's auctioneering firm W.E. Thomas & Son, while the rest of the house was a busy and warm family home. Today, our deepest wish is to share this beautiful space, to leave a lasting legacy to Pembroke, ensuring that it continues to resonate with stories and warmth. The studio overlooks the south-facing garden, which descends down to the historic town walls. Despite being at the centre of town, you feel like you are in a natural and intimate space.
